The evil twin is a classic soap opera trope so it makes sense that #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds would use it for their soap opera episode. But hear me out….If they wanted to do a really crazy plot twist:

Spock is notoriously tight-lipped about his family in #TOS. And we’ve only seen him talk to La’an about his sister. And he shut that conversation down so quickly, it’s entirely plausible that she might not have realized that Spock’s sister is a human foster sister, not a Vulcan biological sister. What if they brought back Sonequa Martin-Green to play Michael Burnham once again, this time in Vulcan ears! I know it’s a bonkers idea but in a season full of bonkers ideas, it just might be crazy enough to work.

What if season 4 of #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds is just their attempt to give the fans celebratory fireworks every week for Star Trek’s 60th anniversary?

Not a big soap opera fan so this week’s episode of #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds left me a bit cold. I laughed more because of the ridiculous melodrama. But I still appreciate the playfulness of #SNW. It’s probably the closest thing to a 60th anniversary celebration that Paramount is going to give us.

Probably the best review I’ve seen regarding John Stewart’s origin episode of Lanterns.

Maybe I just have a thing for cute Vulcans but I really enjoyed Cadet A’asha in Off Hours. Her lines are reminiscent of classic Vulcan sass from Spock in #TOS and Tuvok in Voyager. And her seemingly annoying banter with Scotty inspired a lot of his good ideas.
