So speaking as someone who has done a little cooking in his day, I wonder if Captain Pike’s prowess as a cook - even with only the resources of a pirate’s galley to work with - is realistic. I mean, you can have all the skill in the world and delicious recipes but there’s only so much you can do with barely edible ingredients and a busted oven.
